Mindy Griffith is a native Riversider and celebrated artist. Her unique and dimensional works are created using handmade items, found objects, and trash destined for the landfill. Her style has evolved over many years to incorporate multiple mediums in each piece she creates.
She credits her mom and grandma in the early years for helping to kindle her creativity and interest in becoming a fulltime artist, which now spans a 40-year art career.
Mindy was classically trained in Southern and Central California, and never stops learning. She loves including various new techniques and disciplines into her work, helping to keep her artist’s mind fresh.
The challenge she most delights in, is turning otherwise discarded items into works of art.
Many of Mindy’s works are in private and public collections, domestically and internationally. She is also an active participant in the Riverside community. Mindy is a Board Member of the Riverside Community Arts Association and is on the Board of the Riverside Community Services Foundation.
